Position Summary: |
The College of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh invites applications for the tenure/tenure-track faculty Associate or Full Professor position with a starting date in the position of August 2025. We are seeking candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for the Dean Emerita Rosemary Smith Endowed Professorship.
Dean Emerita Rosemary Smith served as Dean of the College of Nursing from 2004-2015. During her tenure at UW Oshkosh, she was a national leader in the profession of nursing, a nurse scholar, professor, visionary leader, and powerful nursing advocate. In her 38 years with UW Oshkosh, she served as the Undergraduate Director, Graduate Director, and Dean. The Dean Emerita Rosemary Smith Endowed Professorship provides the awarded faculty member with funding for research initiatives for the first 5 years of employment. The awardee will possess the ability to: fulfill the responsibilities of the faculty role within nursing, contribute to the advancement of nursing science through research and scholarship, teach and advise students, participate in the development and evaluation of nursing curricula, and engage in community and professional organizations and activities. About Us: This tenure/tenure-track faculty Associate or Full Professor position will include funding for an eligible individual through the Dean Emerita Rosemary Smith Endowed Professorship, and will support the campus mission of a research-enhanced university and the College's mission to empower students and faculty to meet the healthcare needs of a dynamic and diverse society through research, education, strategic partnerships, and clinical practice. We are a nationally ranked nursing program recognized as one of the top 100 public nursing schools in the nation for 2022 by Nursing Schools Almanac. |
Responsibilities |
Work collaboratively with Administrators in the pre and post licensure nursing programs to teach, develop, implement, refine, revise, and/or evaluate nursing student curriculum and policies. Maintain scholarship and service activities appropriate for rank.
