ATTENTION:


The College of Integrated Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at Rock County seeks a Lecturer for the 2025-2026 academic year (Lecturer, TL020).


This will be an academic staff fixed-term appointment with an anticipated course load of 24-credits (80% full-time equivalence) for the academic year. Reappointments for subsequent years is dependent upon the needs of the University, funding, staffing requirements, enrollment, and external forces. Courses that are to be taught are from the following:

  • ART 121 - Introduction to Painting, ART 125 - Oil Painting, and ART 225 - Intermediate Oil Painting
  • ART 101 - Introduction to Drawing, ART 102 - Intermediate Drawing, and ART 103 - Drawing II
  • ART 111 - Two-Dimensional Design and ART 216 - Digital Imaging and Design
  • ART 112 - Three-Dimensional Design
  • ART 161 - Introduction to Photography
  • ART 175 - Worlds of Art

QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in art or closely related field.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with successful college course teaching experience and a background in digital imaging and design.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations, including necessary training and drills.
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


The selected candidate, in addition to teaching responsibilities, will hold appropriate office hours, attend orientation activities, and perform required course administration.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:


Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting salary of $50,000 commensurate with the candidate's education, related experience, and qualifications. This is for full-time salary. Employee salary will be calculated based on .80 FTE
