University Physicians Association is seeking qualified applicants for a busy non-profit primary care and dental clinic (Kim Health Center). Join the Kim Health Center Team as a Full-time front desk assistant to support patient services. Long term room for growth with both hours and responsibilities if desired. We are a mission driven health care clinic working with underserved populations.
Schedule as follows: 4 days per week, Mon-Thurs, 8am-5pm with one time per month /occasional Tuesday 11am-7:30pm.

Responsibilities include:
· Greet patients
· Schedule appointments
· Answer phones
· Assist with general patient flow at the front desk and throughout clinic
· Update medical records
· Learn Electronic Medical Record’s system for medical and dental to schedule patients and maintain clinical records
· Comply with all HIPAA laws and follow internal PHI policy and procedure
· Learn provider schedules and scope of practice for proper scheduling
· Checking patients in and out
· Assist with heavy phone volume
· Help reconcile with other staff end of day patient visit data
· Attention to detail
· Send patient referrals and records, in timely manner
· Be a good communicator
· Remain patient and service focused
· Communicate regularly with Front Desk Manager and Executive Director as needed
· Attend monthly staff meetings
· Willing to occasionally work outreach events at health fairs or special events held at clinics or community centers
· Needs to have basic working knowledge of Microsoft office, and at a minimum basic computer experience and understanding.
Requirements
- Prior job experience must include demonstrated interpersonal skills, good communication skills, a commitment to service and helping others.
- Front desk dental experience and /or Spanish speaking a major plus.
