University Anesthesiologists is seeking a full time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing practice at UT Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of clinical experience, proficiency with EMR systems, and a strong understanding of clinical operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting providers and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting patient histories.
- Manage and complete pre-authorization requests and tasks as needed.
- Work alongside a provider 4 days a week, aiding with patient care and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock.
- Order and restock supplies as necessary to maintain smooth clinic operations.
- Utilize the EMR system to accurately input patient information and track medical records.

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a clinical setting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing priorities.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is required.
