- Answer phone calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech.
- Process patient information and ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA standards.
- Support the dental team with clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Handle insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their benefits.
- Collaborate with other medical administrative staff to enhance overall office efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Meditech) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written.
