Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments to identify students learning needs and challenges
- Developing and implementing individualized learning plans to support students academic growth
- Providing direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to students educational plans
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
- Michigan state certification as a Special Education Teacher or Learning Specialist
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
- Knowledge of project-based teaching strategies and accommodations for diverse learners
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of students
