EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Assists with administering personnel policies, procedures and processes. Assists with employee committees that provide feedback on employment issues and records and maintains minutes of meetings. Responds to and assists employees with insurance, dental/medical coverage, billing and worker’s compensation issues.


Performs a variety of administrative duties. Posts job openings via ADP. May be required to screen applications and identifies applicants that meet the minimum qualifications. Notifies qualified applicants of interview. Forwards letter of non-selection advising non-interviewed applicants of their status.

As assigned, drafts and forwards letter to applicants meeting and/or exceeding minimum qualifications. Schedules and notifies qualified applicants of interview. Regularly attends interviews and monitors process for fairness and non-discrimination practices. Conducts reference and background checks. As required, offers position and/or responds to final applicant questions. Notifies interviewed applicants of the selection process. Accomplishes pre-employment check.

Performs a combination of correspondence related functions. Prepares, updates and maintains all personnel records and files. As required, responds to inquiries made in writing, by phone and/or in person. Researches and notifies employees of results. Conducts new employee orientation.

Updates a variety of employee benefits, files and records. Receives, reviews and validates time sheets. Enters payroll information into database. Provides assistance with benefits, coverages and related areas.

Distributes open enrollment notices and benefit changes to employees. Assists employees with benefits, filing claims, making changes and resolving coverage questions. Verifies for accuracy. Performs research activities on claims as required. Manages and tracks a variety of programs.


As assigned, performs centralized payroll functions. Reviews and enters new employee information and change of status authorizations. Performs inspection of credit union wide payroll input and reports. Identifies areas requiring additional information. Works with supervisors regarding accuracy and timeliness of work. Processes and balances payroll including transfers and payroll deductions. Responds to inquiries and provides information and assistance.


Responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti Money Laundering Acts including monitoring for such illegal activity as it applies to this position.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Knowledge of applicable city, county, state and Federal statutes, rules, ordinances, codes, regulations, administrative orders, case law and other governing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the City’s and the Department’s policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the principles of file and records management.
  • Knowledge of the principles of customer service.
  • Skill in reading, understanding, interpreting and applying relevant city, county, state and Federal statutes, rules, ordinances, codes, regulations, administrative orders and other governing rules and regulations.
  • Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
  • Skill in working within deadlines to complete projects and assignments.
  • Skill in assessing, analyzing, identifying and recommending solutions to problems.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, other UniWyo FCU employees, representatives from other credit unions, the news media, general public and/or others
  • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software and operating systems/applications.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

An Associates degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Business Administration or closely related field AND three (3) years of relevant personnel administration or closely related experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to obtain within six (6) months of employment and must maintain certification as notary for the State of Wyoming.

Must be proficient in word processing and current spreadsheet software.

May be required to lift and/or carry heavy, bulky supplies, materials and/or other items weighing up to 25 pounds.

May be exposed to potential physical harm and infectious diseases.

May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.
