Unleashing Potential is looking for Summer Camp Counselors for summer 2025!
Locations for summer camp will include:
Ferguson, MO: Immanuel United Church of Christ, 221 Church St., Ferguson, MO 63135
South City St. Louis: 6273 Eichelberger St., St. Louis, MO 63109
Duties/Responsibilities
- Organizing team games such as soccer, softball and basketball, explaining the rules and acting as referee or umpire throughout the game.
- Leading activities such as crafts and art, demonstrating various techniques and encouraging children to come up with ideas.
- Communicating with parents, providing updates where required and answering questions about the camp.
- Checking on children with medical needs to ensure they have taken any required medication.
- Providing guidance, motivation and support all camp visitors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment/Conditions
- The ability to lift 25 pounds
- Frequent interruptions
- Performs functions in a high energy environment with children and youth
- Sitting, standing, eye strain, and walking
- Moderate to high noise levels
- Some evenings and weekends may be required
