Unlimited, Inc. is a family-owned and run business. We've been in business since 1969 and are manufacturing vinyl windows for companies in Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa and Northern Illinois. We also manufacture windows that we ship to companies from Colorado east to Massachusetts, Maine and Virginia. We have many employees who have worked here for over 10 years and we are looking to add some additional employees to help with increased volume.
We are looking for assemblers to connect parts into more complex components to complete the production of vinyl windows. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands, saws, drills, staplers and foot controlled punches to do the job with greater precision. Having technical knowledge and possessing manual dexterity is a plus. The ability to do and understand some basic math is important. The ability to work with fractions is a plus. The ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision is extremely important. You are part of an assembly line and the goal is to produce complete outputs by putting together smaller components.
As of August 1:
We are also looking for a person to cut parts using a chop saw. Being able to read a cut list and identify the parts needing to be cut. Previous experience cutting is a plus.
We are also looking for someone to handle finished components of the windows and combine them to create a finished window. Quality control experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
- Check output to ensure highest quality
- Maintain equipment in good condition
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Skills
- Proven experience as assembler is a plus but not necessary
- Ability to use tools (e.g. drills) and machines (e.g. punch presses)
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Able to read a tape measure to 1/16"
- Ability to do and understand calculations that include fractions
