What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Office Coordinator position at Unlock Physical Therapy, LLC?
Duties:
- - Answer all phone calls and direct to appropriate personnel or take messages.
- Set appointments according to policies including all follow up appointments- Greet and check in all patients upon arrival
- - Ensure all patient demographics are accurate and up to date and insurance policy is
active at time of services. Scan and upload all insurances and required new patientinformation into EMR at time of service (insurance cards, drivers license, referrals,etc.)- Verify insurance according to policy and get authorizations if required. Enter allappropriately in EMR- Explain benefits to all patients according to policy- Collect deductibles, copays and co-insurance according to verification at eachappointment- Sort and open mail daily
- -Make deposits of all monies daily (including insurance payments and patient payments)
-Balance end of day collections and scan and upload to the billing company daily
Experience:
- Previous experience as a physical therapy office coordinator or similar field
- Dependable, punctual and organized
- Knowledge of insurance verification and authorizations
- Experience collecting patient responsibility and working in EMR
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
