Job Description
UNM Truman Health Services, one of UNMMG’s 11 clinics, is seeking a dedicated, team-oriented and forward thinking MD, DO, or NP (family practice or internal medicine) who understands and appreciates the needs, and is committed to improving the health outcomes, of people living with HIV/AIDS and members for the GLBTQ community. Candidates must be eligible for New Mexico medical licensure and be board-certified/eligible in Infectious Diseases. The chosen candidate will provide and manage the provision of high quality, effective, and efficient medical care in an integrated ambulatory primary care setting. This position does allow for the opportunity to move into a leadership role within the clinic.
Qualifications
Board certification in Primary Care Specialty (Internal Medicine or Family Practice); or Board certification/eligibility in Infectious Diseases.
Qualified applicants must possess:
- the ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, races sexual orientations, and gender identities or expressions.
- the ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
- the ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise.
- knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
- effective verbal and written communication skills.
