UPA is a 6th-12th grade STEM career acceleration charter school opening in Fall 2025. Responsibilities

As a UPA Electives Teacher, you will:

• Design and deliver engaging, hands-on, and interdisciplinary lessons that inspire creativity and innovation.
• Connect elective courses to real-world applications, fostering curiosity and critical thinking in students.
• Integrate your subject area with broader interdisciplinary projects and career-focused pathways.
• Build strong, authentic relationships with students and families to support academic and personal growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a connected learning environment that supports UPA’s mission.
• Create an inclusive and positive classroom culture that values creativity, exploration, and personal responsibility.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in your field and continuously improve your practice.

Qualifications

To be successful at Unparalleled Preparatory Academy (UPA), we are looking for passionate and committed educators who meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required); a degree in education or a related field is preferred
• Experience working with middle or high school students (preferred but not required)
• The ability to create and maintain a positive, student-centered classroom culture
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
• A mindset of growth, flexibility, and openness to feedback, with a desire for continuous improvement
• The ability to collaborate in a team-driven environment and contribute to the school’s mission of preparing students for postsecondary success
• A deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education

Starting Salary: $58,000 per year, based on relevant years of experience and internal compensation scale.
