Job Description and Responsibilities
The Director, Strategic Sourcing leads drives the strategy and execution the Company’s global sourcing operations. Leveraging their sourcing team and functional groups throughout the business, this person leads efforts to optimize costs, improve service levels, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. This person also ensures that goals and objectives are aligned to further support the needs of the company.
- Formulate and implement sourcing strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term business objectives. This includes identifying and leveraging opportunities to drive cost savings, improve efficiency and support innovation
- Manage internal sourcing KPIs and supplier KPIs, while developing and executing plans to improve both
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring high levels of service, quality, and reliability
- Drive cost reduction initiatives across all categories of spend without compromising quality or service levels
- Plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and delivery targets are met
- Assess and proactively mitigate supply chain and supplier risks
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- 7-10 years of previous experience in sourcing and procurement, with a strong preference for experience in the global apparel and textiles industry
- Demonstrated experience executing end-to-end RFP processes and other strategic sourcing activities
- Demonstrated experience developing category strategies to optimize spend
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects and programs
- Willingness to travel to suppliers and partners globally, travel approximately 20%
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
Salary : $140,000 - $170,000
