Job Description and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Company President, the Vice President of Finance acts as sole in-house leader for all accounting and finance matters for the organization. You will oversee a team that will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, inventory management, month-end close, and financial reporting. In addition, you will be responsible for all FP&A activity, including the annual budgeting process, weekly cash forecasting, and monthly budget vs actual analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting for Unrivaled Teamwear, including AP, AR, payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Oversee annual physical inventory process including reconciliation and recording related adjustments.
- Oversee inventory activities, including coordinating prepayments to vendors, processing invoices billed on terms, reconciling warehouse receipts against amounts billed from vendors, inventory roll-forward and analysis.
- Assist with negotiation of payment terms with new vendors.
- Manage relationship with external CPA firm including managing the annual external audit and coordinating with tax team on required tax returns and estimated payments.
- Distribute all required reporting to lenders including monthly financials with MD&A, borrowing base certificates, liquidity calculations, and covenant compliance certificates.
- Manage annual bank field audit and inventory appraisal.
FP&A and Management Reporting:
- Manage the annual budget process and maintain a working forecast that is updated monthly.
- Prepare monthly financial package for private equity ownership including detailed financials, forward-looking projections, and variance analysis.
- Maintain a detailed 52-week cash forecast to project future cash position, borrowing base, and expected revolving line of credit utilization.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Operations:
- Collaborate with other department heads on cross-functional projects including growth opportunities, sales and inventory planning, and assortment reviews.
- Coordinate with the Operations on CAPEX planning and facility decisions.
- Responsible for payroll operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial management accounting and/or finance.
- CPA preferred, but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate principals, and financial analysis.
- Proficient Experience with SAP, Oracle EBS, or other ERP.
- Demonstrated experience leading month-end close and financial reporting.
- Experience with cash forecasting and cash management. Budgeting and cash forecasting, required.
- Experience in the consumer-packaged goods and/or retail space preferred
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions and integrating multiple businesses preferred
- Experience with Private Equity portfolio companies and lenders preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- An analytical mind with good organizational skills.
- Highly detail oriented.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
