Department Summary
HSC Health is the academic clinical practice of the Health Science Center, where quality care meets quality education. HSC Health primary and multispecialty care offices are located on the HSC, Denton and Dallas UNT System campuses, focusing on improving health outcomes to build healthier communities.
Care includes mobile health initiatives and extends to hospitals, surgery centers, long-term/continuing care centers, and in-home care. HSC Health’s interprofessional teams work collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient.
Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, specialized technicians, nurses and more work together while intentionally integrating healthcare students, residents, and fellows to deliver care to our community.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for administering and scoring specialized neuropsychological tests designed to assess cognitive function in individuals, providing detailed reports to clinicians to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning, and potentially contributing to research of cognitive changes, all under the supervision of a licensed neuropsychologist.
Plans, coordinates, and performs statistical analysis for basic and/or segments of complex project or work assignments. Works independently on most phases of statistical and/or psychometric analysis. Accountable for basic and complex statistical design and analysis decisions such as variance estimations (weighting), sample design, statistical modeling, and psychometrics. Ensures quality control of deliverables. Designs, develops and documents technical and operational procedures and statistical guidelines for assigned area. Assists with project development and monitors project budgets. Applies advanced knowledge of statistical procedures, psychometric methods and their applications and statistical programming.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of work experience, master’s degree preferred.
- Interpreting testing results, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, providing feedback and education.

- Facilitate small groups of medical students in communication skills with patients of diverse background, ailments, and mental health conditions, if assigned.
- Administer various neuropsychological tests and document appropriate clinical observations.
- Interpret neuropsychological findings and assist in report writing.
- Train and observe PhD students in the administration of neuropsychological tests.
- Serve as liaison between staff and social workers regarding patient care, earning their confidence with reliable follow-through and clear communication.
- Conduct research and assist in the conduct of research, including the collection of information and samples.
- Analyze experimental data.
- Keep detailed logs of all work-related activities.
