Position Overview :

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our fast-paced media startup. As we build out our strategic partnerships team, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing our partner outreach strategy, building effective processes to manage existing and potential partners, fostering value-add relationships, and driving category growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a keen understanding of the creative process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Partner Outreach & Proposal Management :

Manage the outreach strategy to identify and engage potential partners, focusing on aligning with our business objectives.

  • Manage the proposal process, crafting compelling pitches and materials that resonate with prospective partners.
  • Customize solutions for clients by thinking through problems and suggesting innovative, outside-the-box solutions.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to nurture and maintain partner relationships.
  • Onboarding & Account Administration :
  • Manage the onboarding process for new partners, ensuring a seamless integration into our systems and workflows.

  • Oversee account administration, maintaining accurate records and documentation related to each partnership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across departments (marketing, content, etc.) to ensure flawless execution of partnership initiatives.

  • Facilitate regular communication between teams to align objectives and strategies for maximum impact.
  • Post-Launch Management :
  • Responsible for working cross functionally with internal teams (e.g., marketing, production) to facilitate all partner deliverables.

  • Support ongoing account management and partner relations, conducting business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
  • Foster strong, long-term relationships through consistent engagement, addressing concerns and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Sales & Negotiation :
  • Effectively "sell" our vision and offerings to potential partners, utilizing strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.

  • Think quickly on your feet to adapt strategies and address partner needs in real-time.
  • Data Analytics & Business Acumen :
  • Leverage data analytics to inform decision-making, assess partnership performance, and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Utilize business insights to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the partnerships vertical.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills :
  • Create clear, high-impact materials, including presentations and reports, to communicate strategies and updates to stakeholders.

  • Exceptional presentation skills, able to communicate ideas clearly and compellingly, tailoring the message to resonate with different audiences and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in developing and utilizing templated materials, customizing tone, voice, and structure to suit different contexts and audiences.
  • Contract Familiarity :
  • Be comfortable navigating partnership and licensing contracts, supporting negotiation and compliance efforts.

    Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or a related field, preferably in a startup environment.
  • Creative thinker who excels at lateral problem-solving, capable of devising innovative and customized solutions that meet client needs in unique ways.
  • Exceptional negotiation and selling skills, with the ability to think strategically and act decisively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, demanding startup environment.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel.
