*Job Overview*
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. Unwind is a vacation rental management company that also provides high-end design services to owners and investors working with Unwind. We build and design luxury vacation rentals in tourism locations all over the United States, while also remodeling or refreshing the homes we currently manage to increase rental income and property value. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of color theory and interior design principles, along with proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Sketchup. This role involves collaborating with clients to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that reflect their vision while managing projects from concept to completion.
*Responsibilities*
- Collaborate with executive team to determine the needs, preferences, and budget for each interior design project.
- Develop design concepts and vision boards that incorporate color theory, lighting design, and spatial planning.
- Create detailed design plans and 3D renderings using software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Sketchup, and Bluebeam.
- Present design proposals to manager, including mood boards, color palettes, and material samples for each project.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and managers to ensure successful project execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions to clients.
- Oversee exterior and interior finish selections during the construction phase, and oversee the quality of materials, workmanship, and design execution in each vacation home design.
*Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in interior design with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Sketchup; familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus.
- Strong understanding of color theory and lighting principles.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills for team presentations and collaboration with team members.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful spaces that enhance functionality.
