Description :
This position is based in a dynamic academic medical center setting.
The unit offers a diverse patient mix of medical and surgical cases.
The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients on a 20-bed unit.
Patient ratios are typically 5-6 : 1.
Necessary equipment includes IV pumps, heart monitors, PCA pumps, epidural pumps, JP drains, NG tubes, and wound vacs.
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) management is carried out using Cerner.
RNs will be expected to float to other PCU or Medical-Surgical units as needed.
The role requires a team player with a great personality and a sense of humor.
Independence and a willingness to work and excel as part of a team are essential.
The dress code requires Galaxy Blue scrubs.
During weekends, you will work every other weekend.
There are no on-call requirements.
The medical center is recognized for advanced heart care treatment and numerous medical firsts.
