Responsibilities
Job Summary
A paraprofessional under the direction and supervision of the occupational therapist who provides selected occupational therapy interventions as indicated per treatment plan. He/she will progress patient toward established goals and maintain communication with the occupational therapist in regards to each patient’s status. The assistant will also provide appropriate education to patient and or family.
Qualifications
Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited OT school.
- Registered with the Kentucky State Board of Occupational Therapy.
Experience (required and preferred):
- Acute care, trauma care experience, and/or rehab experience preferred.
Certification
- • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
