Position Summary :
The Client Service Representative is responsible for delivering high quality service for all client inquiries. This includes giving out test results, requesting additional information for completion of registration, billing, testing, result reporting, canceling / crediting tests, and investigating reported problems and implementing solutions.
Reports to : Supervisor, Lab
FLSA : Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Utilizes excellent customer service skills at all times
Works with other laboratory personnel to resolve problems with laboratory client samples, and communicates resolutions to clients.
Functions as liaison with clients to disseminate test information, answer inquiries and troubleshoot problems.
Performs clerical and customer service duties using electronic equipment and hospital / laboratory computer systems.
Assists with client billing. Communicates price changes to clients.
Assists with performance improvement initiatives pertaining to customer service, including data collection and communication with laboratory leadership team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree in laboratory sciences preferred.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

ASCP or equivalent preferred
Minimum Work Experience
1 year laboratory experience (Preferred)
1 year customer service experience (Preferred)
