Position Summary:
Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory.
Reports to: Supervisor, Lab
FLSA: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinates and maintains a variety of clinical, non-clinical and ancillary services of assigned patient care within the Operating Room specialty units.
Reports to: Manager
FLSA: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
Ensures timely patient flow through perioperative period.
Schedules add on cases as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate’s degree (Preferred)
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
2 years hospital experience
