Position Overview : The Project Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) aspects of a long-term project within the MEP or built environment sector. The individual will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment, adhering to regulatory requirements, maintaining all safety documentation for the project and implementing best practices for safety across the project.
Responsibilities :
- Safety Management :
Implement and enforce comprehensive safety plans and procedures for the project.
Plan and deliver safety training programs for all employees and subcontractors working on the project.
Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
Investigate and report on any safety incidents or accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, including safety plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
Monitor safety performance and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
