Core Function | The Tooling Specialist is responsible for the coordination and maintenance of approved tools by executing the following duties: |
Responsibilities |

|
Education Requirements | High School Diploma or General Education Diploma; and 2-Year Degree from an accredited technical college, prior experience working in a tool room can be substituted for education. |
|
|
Training Requirements | Received training from an accredited 2year skilled trade school, prior experience working in a tool room can be substituted for education. |
|
|
Experience Requirements | This position requires at least 2 years of experience supporting a full-service tooling department |
|
|
Skills Requirements | This position requires the following skills: forklift driving, tool assessment, tool cleaning, mold set-up, and in some cases, proficiency in computer-aided drafting (CAD) software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks. |
|

Physical Requirements | Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. |

Visual Acuity | The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as; preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and or operation or machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distance close to the eyes. |

Work Conditions | None. The worker is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).
