Position summary: To develop and teach programs designed to enhance the skills of workers relevant to Uplands Village
Role Qualifications: R.N./L.P.N with a strong ability to convey information in an effective manner. Also to identify the needs of the employees and find a training program to supplement them.
Position responsibilities: A staff development coordinator must have solid leadership skills. It’s essential that he has a solid understanding of the company’s needs, enabling him to choose relevant and effective training programs. He must be an excellent communicator, with the ability to easily learn new skills and teach them to others. He is extremely detail oriented and organized, patient and a good listener. A staff development coordinator must be a people person, as spends his days working directly with other professionals
Essential skill and experience The staff development coordinator may also be responsible for creating and maintain a training budget. He may be required to search for conferences and external training events that would benefit individual or small groups of employees and recommend these programs to their managers. He may also assist the training and development manager vendor selection, choosing materials with content that best fits the company mission
Job Responsibilities:
- Will conduct Eden training for employees, volunteers and Independent living community
- To Direct and Teach Certified Nursing Assistant Classes as needed
- Work with DON to initiate and audit the Infection control program
- Monthly Audits for Falls Interventions and Care plans
- Other duties as assigned by the Department Manager/Director
