Overview: At UplinkRobotics, a Robotics Technician has a variety of tasks that can be broken into three main categories. These are manufacturing and assembly, inventory management, and customer support. Manufacturing and assembly are the process of taking incoming parts and building them into sub-assemblies and finished products. Inventory management includes the process of validating incoming shipments of components and adding them to inventory, subtracting components as they get used, and monthly inventory audits. Customer support encompasses answering tech support phone calls from customers and repairing damaged units that come back from customers.
Daily Tasks:
- Batch processing of sub-assemblies that go into final products
- Final Assembly of products
- Testing and validation of products as they are completed and boxed
- Inventory management
- Answering the phone for tech support calls from customers
- Repairing damaged crawlers that come in for support
Needed skills (these can be taught but prior experience is very helpful):
- Soldering knowledge
- Good with hands
- Patience with tasks that involve very small components
- Attention to detail and organization
- Good process following skills
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Low voltage electrical knowledge
- Knowledge in working with 3D printers
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals and instructions
