ANCC Magnet Recognized UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Casual Advanced Response Specialist to support the Prehospital Care Department at the McCandless Location. Salary will be determined based upon education and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Constructively receive feedback and direction.
- Communicate learning needs to the clinical director.
- Improve knowledge, skills, and performance.
- Serve as a resource and preceptor for staff.
- Request assistance in planning and prioritizing.
- Participate in self-review, projects, and committees.
- Complete required education for medic command.
- Report equipment malfunctions.
- Establish effective communication and professional relationships.
- Participate in performance improvement and corrective actions.
- Document concise patient reports.
- Follow communication channels.
- Work autonomously and maintain a positive hospital image.
- Provide feedback to the command MD and report patient status changes.
- Manage quality improvement for medical command services.
- Develop and instruct continuing education for EMS providers.
- Maintain relationships with local EMS agencies.
- Participate in community health initiatives.
- Demonstrate awareness of patient needs and expectations.
- Utilize protocols and clinical judgment for life support.
- Perform routine tests and provide patient care.
- Assist with therapies and monitor patient restraints.
- Adhere to patient care policies and safety procedures.
- Document in the medical record.
- Interact with EMS providers and document interactions.
- Perform work timely and productively.
- Suggest and support changes within the team.
- Assume responsibility and view problems as challenges.
- Demonstrate awareness of behavior on hospital efficiency.
Salary : $24 - $39
