UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a full-time Anesthesia Associate to provide assistance in the Presbyterian and Montefiore ORs. This position will require a rotation of all shifts: daylight, evening, nights, and weekends. There will also be holiday and on-call requirements.
Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the career ladder, based on their individual experience and education.
Purpose:
Under supervision, performs a variety of entry level duties related to and involving the processing and preparing of room, equipment and supplies for the patients undergoing anesthetic procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieves and appropriately distributes the equipment as directed to prepare a patient for anesthesia.
- Assists in turning over rooms assuring minimal downtime between cases.
- Helps maintain an adequate supply of all stock items in work room and keeps the work room clean and in an orderly condition.
- Under supervision disassembles, decontaminates and sterilizes anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Assists in stocking the carts and surgical suites with the required supplies as outlined on the anesthesia surgical suite stock par list.
Salary : $19 - $29
