Behavioral Health Therapy Supervisor - Outpatient

UPMC is hiring a Behavioral Health Therapy Supervisor for Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough in McKeesport. This role involves providing clinical and administrative supervision to behavioral health therapists and acting as a senior member of the therapy team.

This position requires a balance of clinical expertise and administrative skills to ensure effective service delivery and patient care.

Responsibilities:

·       Build the group therapy component of the Outpatient Mental Health Department.

·       Carry a small caseload and provide clinical services about 10% of the time.

·       Offer licensure supervision and crisis intervention.

·       Conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy.

·       Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

·       Direct and assign daily work of therapists, perform annual reviews, and enforce policies.

·       Support recruitment, coordinate new admissions, and supervise daily clinical activities.

·       Meet regularly with the director to review cases and address issues.

·       Assume leadership in the director's absence to ensure continuity of care and safety.

·       Provide staff training and participate in system-wide training initiatives.
