The role will primarily focus on supporting our med/surg departments. We’re seeking candidates with med/surg experience (preferred) who are eager to lead and innovate. This position runs Monday through Friday with primarily day shifts, but also offers flexibility to accommodate new hire schedules—perfect for those who value a dynamic and adaptable work environment.
As a Clinical Educator, you’ll assess, plan, and implement clinical learning programs to meet the needs of our team. You’ll take ownership of developing and teaching education programs tailored to your assigned clinical area. Working closely with Department Directors and Medical Staff committees, you’ll play a vital role in shaping high-quality education that advances nursing excellence.
Make a Difference through Clinical Expertise
- Maintain required RN competencies, including trauma skills when necessary.
- Act as a resource for nursing staff to improve practice standards.
- Ensure compliance with occupational exposure policies.
Education & Training
- Plan, teach, and assist with staff education, courses, and continuing education programs.
- Develop and update materials for orientation and training.
- Organize the Annual Competency Fair.
- Create accurate lesson plans with clear objectives and evaluation methods.
- Support staff orientation and education as needed.
Program & Event Management
- Recruit speakers for training sessions and classes.
- Review and evaluate training programs to ensure quality.
- Participate in the planning and presentation of clinical orientation programs.
Communication & Collaboration
- Keep supervisors updated on department activities and seek guidance as needed.
- Share input for budget planning and ensure cost-effective program operation.
- Prepare engaging written and visual materials for education purposes.
Professional Development
- Engage in continuing education and professional association activities for personal growth.
Quality Care
- Perform other duties as needed to support exceptional patient care.
