What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Management Intern position at UPMC?
UPMC Corporate is hiring a Construction Project Management Intern to join our team! This position will work Monday through Friday during the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The intern will be paid at a standard rate of $20/hour. The role will work with our Construction Team to support job progress related to the UPMC Presby Patient Tower along with a variety of other tasks.
The Presby Tower will be an iconic architectural design that will transform the Oakland landscape. The design and the intent of the spaces within the walls of the building will embrace technology advances that support patient experience, staff experience, operational effectiveness and efficiency, and an attractive environment that matches the innovation and care by our hospital teams.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track, and report on specific components on job progress related to UPMC Presby Patient Tower
- Interacting with construction, design and project management team
- Daily field reports
- Owner observation entries
- Owner observation entries and non-conformance follow up/ resolution
- Integrated digital turnover (IDT)- asset tracking verification
- Look ahead schedule auditing
- Participate in field meetings for Foreman/Coordination and Safety
- Participation in bi-weekly office meetings which include team meetings, OAC and CA
- Project Manager shadowing when not in field
