In this role, there is the opportunity to -
- Monitor pneumatic tube and courier deliveries to ensure timely specimen processing.
- Investigate and resolve specimen issues, including requesting assistance when needed.
- Complete quality forms for unacceptable specimens or errors and escalate issues as necessary.
- Centrifuge samples, label aliquot tubes, and store samples at appropriate temperatures as per policy.
- Enter specimen receive times and requisition details into the computer system.
- Answer all telephone inquiries regarding specimen collection, results, and normal ranges.
- Verify patient specimens with requisitions or labels to ensure accuracy before processing.
- Demonstrate a service-oriented approach by maintaining courtesy, respect, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in all work situations.
Salary : $17 - $26
