Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with department staff to identify and resolve procedural and operational issues, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient patient care.
• Manage patient follow-up by utilizing tools like Refract Tracker and EPIC to track progress and ensure all appointments and procedures are completed timely.
• Prepare and submit all required admission reservations, requisitions, and ensure the timely inclusion of patient demographics and insurance details for hospital processing.
• Act as the point of contact for hospitals, coordinating cases and working directly with hospital staff to obtain necessary approvals for patient admissions.
• Facilitate financial arrangements prior to surgeries, including collecting pre-payments and discussing billing expectations with patients and their families.
• Ensure patients sign all necessary informed consent forms before proceeding with surgery, meeting legal and ethical standards for care.
• Provide patients with clear, detailed preoperative and postoperative instructions according to established service-specific guidelines to ensure proper recovery.
• Organize patient education seminars, schedule physicians for these events, and coordinate related patient educational efforts, while also collecting relevant data for ongoing research studies.
