UPMC Western Maryland is hiring a Team Lead for our Food Services Department! This is a full time position that will work rotating shifts week to week, including rotating weekend and holiday shifts. Prior supervisory experience in food service is strongly preferred!
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Team: Oversee hourly associates, ensuring they adhere to all UPMC policies, procedures, and department standards.
- Inventory & Cash Security: Maintain the security of inventory and cash revenues.
- Training & Development: Orient, train, and coach new team members according to department guidelines.
- Food Safety: Routinely monitor the department's food safety program and take immediate action on identified hazards.
- Service Supervision: Ensure services meet department standards and perform quality control and assurance checks to comply with regulatory agencies.
- Performance Checks: Conduct routine competency checks on associate performance with appropriate follow-through.
- Customer Service: Handle and document service recovery for all customer complaints as per operational guidelines.
- Food Quality: Monitor food quantity and quality to ensure the appropriate product is available for meal service according to the menu and special requests.
- Sanitation: Oversee all aspects of the operation's sanitation program daily to ensure inspection readiness at all times.
Shifts:
- Early Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (one week)
- Late Shift: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM (next week)
- Retail Supervision coverage: 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM (as needed)
- Rotating Weekends and Holidays
