Veterinary Technician

Upper Charles Animal Hospital, in the former location of Homeward Bound Veterinary Service, is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for dedicated, caring staff to fill out our employee roster. We are seeking a part-time technician to fill in while one of our current techs is on maternity leave. This position has the possibility of transitioning into a permanent, potentially full-time position for the right fit.

Currently our clinic is open Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30am-5pm, and Monday and Thursday 8am-8pm and Friday 8am-5pm. Our privately owned clinic prides itself on providing high-quality veterinary care at affordable prices while serving the community in a family-focused atmosphere. As a veterinary technician, you will be at the doctors’ side assisting with exams, patient restraint, and participating in client education, along with treatment and management of hospitalized patients. Our practice provides excellent tools to foster the growth of our employees and the highest standard of care to our patients. We have brand new digital DR radiography, digital dental radiography, abdominal ultrasound (available both with our in-house machine and with a traveling specialist), and an extensive in-house laboratory that includes an IDEXX Catalyst and Procyte. Our clinic was recently renovated and offers freshly-painted, spacious rooms with excellent workflow. We have transitioned to brand-new paperless software with ample modern hardware, and pride ourselves on providing a technology-forward experience for our clients by utilizing online appointment requests along with digital reminders and communications.
