Job Title: Production Team Member – Bakery Manufacturing Facility
Job Overview: The Production Team Member supports the production of high-quality morning pastries, and other baked goods. This role involves handling raw ingredients, assisting with the baking process, monitoring production, and ensuring that the bakery operates smoothly while maintaining health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Line Assistance: Work on the bakery production line, helping with tasks such as raw products, loading trays into ovens, and placing finished products onto cooling racks or sending to the packaging or icing area.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for quality standards, checking for consistency in size, shape, and color. Ensure that all products meet the company's specifications before moving to baking.
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning trays, utensils, and machinery as needed. Follow food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Stocking & Inventory: Help with stocking pans, racks and other supplies in the appropriate areas. Assist in keeping track of raw materials.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), handling equipment safely, and reporting any safety hazards or accidents.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other production team members, supervisors, and quality control staff to ensure efficient operations and meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. No prior experience in baking or production is required, but experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment is desirable but not necessary. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills:
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to lift or move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift, carry, and move heavy items. Willingness to work in a warm or cold, fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a bakery manufacturing facility where temperatures may fluctuate due to baking processes.
- Shift work may be required, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Potential exposure to hot ovens, baking equipment, and a noisy production environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
