We are seeking a qualified seasonal coach for the 8th grade field hockey team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the sport and demonstrate effective coaching technique, leadership and mentoring skills. They should be able to relate well within the school community and provide an atmosphere conducive to good sportsmanship and high standards.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and general team management in the areas of daily practice, skills, and character development.
- Remain current with theories and techniques in their sport.
- Evaluate and assess players' skills and select team rosters.
- Responsible for team equipment and keep the scorebook current and available.
- Initiate appropriate and regular communication with student-athletes and parents.
Qualifications:
- Prior successful coaching experience, preferably at the high school and/or college level.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A strong character with a team-oriented spirit, and the ability to connect meaningfully with students throughout our diverse community.
- Considerable knowledge of and experience coaching that sport, including competitions, practices, and strength/conditioning.
