Marching Band: Percussion Coordinator (2 positions)
The Upper Dublin Marching Cardinals have an opening for a Percussion Coordinator. This position will be in charge of leading the sectional rehearsals and troubleshooting section issues during full ensemble rehearsals. Percussion members would report to this person first. Duties would include leading sectionals, being on the field during full ensemble, and other tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Availability for the following
- Band Camp
- Tuesday/Thursday rehearsals (3:15-6pm)
- Football games
- Saturday rehearsals and competitions
- Assigning parts to ensemble members
- Teaching basic playing technique
- Teaching basic marching technique
- Teaching music
- Collaborating with the marching band staff
- Maintaining a professional and educational environment for band members
Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Performance experience in marching ensembles (marching band, drum corps, indoor percussion)
- DCI, DCA WGI or college marching band experience preferred
- Ability to teach pitched and/or non-pitched percussion
