Position Summary
The Graduate Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Upper Iowa University reports directly to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and is responsible for assisting in the planning, directing, and evaluating all aspects and facets of a successful Men’s Soccer program on the NCAA Division II level.
Position Responsibilities
- Recruitment of highly skilled and academically qualified student-athletes, monitor academic progress and eligibility, and effectively analyze and teach the fundamentals skills and strategies of the sport.
- Plan, organize, conduct, and evaluate practices session along with develop, implement, and evaluate game plans and strategies. Serve as a leader, mentor, and role-model to the student-athletes of the program.
- Oversee administrative processes and procedures as assigned. Ensure compliance with all Department, University, NCAA, and GLVC policies, procedures, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be admitted into a graduate program at Upper Iowa University and maintain a 3.0 Grade Point Average.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Have at least two years of experience (playing or coaching) within organized soccer (collegiate, club, high school, etc.)
Other
- 10-month renewable contract
- Monthly stipend ($1,000)
- Includes coverage of fees for master's degree
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
