What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor position at UPPER LIMITS ROCK CLIMBING GYM?
AVAILABILITY:
- Must be available from June to the Middle of August (June 2nd – Aug 15th
- Counselors must be able to work from 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Half-Day Camps – Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 12:00pm
- Full Day Camps – Monday to Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm
Job Requirements:
- Supervise a group of children
- Plan and implement program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with Upper Limits values.
- Adhere to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
- Attend all scheduled shifts and staff meetings.
- Follow Upper Limits policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations.
- Maintain accurate and timely records for morning campers’ check-ins and check-outs.
- Maintain a positive attitude with campers, parents, and other staff.
- Model relationship-building skills in all interactions.
- Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of indoor/outdoor activities.
- The physical demand of walking, standing, hearing, seeing, and lifting, (could be up to 50 pounds).
Qualifications (ULI may offer some of the required training)
- At least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a camp setting.
- Climbing experience/knowledge preferable

Compensation
- $13 – $14/ hr based on experience
