What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Courier position at UPS Supply Chain Solutions?
UPS Supply Chain Solutions is offering competitive rates, seeking immediate opportunities for Same Day Delivery Drivers for local delivery services in the (Las Vegas) area.
**If you are over 30 mins from the area you will not be considered!!**
As an independent contractor, you are not being hired by UPS Supply Chain Solutions. You are the business owner of your business or company.
Contract Rate: $15.00 base rate for the first 19 miles and then $.80 for each mile over 19 miles. Additional compensation for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Flexible schedule - As a Delivery Driver, you have the flexibility to choose your own schedule. Great for retirees, students, and others needing flexible hours.
You Should:
- Be knowledgeable of the local area
- Have a dependable car
- Able to provide proof of Identification - 2 forms of ID (Drivers License, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, and/or Passport)
- Proof of insurance (bodily injury liability of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per incident and $50,000 property damage liability is required)
- A good DMV record
- A vehicle registration
- Smartphone with the minimum 3G capability and is either an Android or an iPhone
- A business license (required - it can be the most basic business license your city, local or state government issues. We don’t need the business license number until 60 days after you become a vendor.)
