Upside Innovations, a SixAxis company, is a premier manufacturer of aluminum ramps, steps, canopies, covered walkways, and custom access products. We have been growing tremendously since our inception in 2009 which has led to our recent relocation to a new, larger site in West Chester, Ohio.  We continually seek the best talent to add to our team and support our continued growth journey.

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welds on aluminum components, ensuring structural integrity and alignment with project specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on aluminum components using appropriate welding techniques
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to execute precise welds
• Assemble and weld parts to meet quality and structural standards
• Inspect finished welds for defects and ensure they meet quality and safety standards
• Perform necessary adjustments and repairs to welds when required
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and safely
• Perform routine checks and report malfunctions or issues.
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing PPE and adhering to OSHA regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents
• Communicate effectively to resolve issues and ensure project timelines are met

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in welding is preferred
• Proven experience as a MIG welder, specifically with aluminum
• Ability to successfully complete a weld qualification test
• Proficiency in welding techniques and equipment, including MIG welders
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions
• Knowledge of safety standards related to welding and fabrication
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy materials, and working in various positions
• Positive attitude and team player
