What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Infrastructure Engineer position at Upson Regional Medical Center?
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is an onsite technical position responsible for optimizing and tailoring specific IT infrastructure to best meet the needs of URMC. Within the engineering discipline, the individual with advanced tools will monitor and ensure all infrastructures are running according to standard and be able to troubleshoot all related issues, while measuring impact to the business. The engineer will implement and maintain systems, IT environments and data centers and be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, documentation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure systems hardware and software related to infrastructure. The incumbent will assist with policies, installs, upgrades, full configuration, testing, validation, maintenance and documentation in support of the production IT infrastructure environment.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, and relevant IT certificate program. Five or more years experience in a Healthcare facility and/or relevant IT Certifications. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered if that combination will result in comparable knowledge and abilities. Prefer Associate's degree with more than 5 years experience in Healthcare IT.
