Job Summary :
The Family Therapist provides counseling to families of patients of the Biobehavioral Health Inpatient Unit (BBHU), across the continuum of their admission. The Family Therapist's interventions involve a disciplined application of professional knowledge related to family functioning, coping, and adaptation for a broad range of diagnoses and treatments. This position provides Family Therapy at a specialized level of practice.
Minimum Qualifications :
NYS (or eligible) licensed Marriage & Family Therapist required by time of appointment. Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy or related field and three years of post-licensure experience providing therapy required. CPR-BLS required by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with children / adolescents with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities and / or autism preferred.
