Upstate Veterinary Specialties (UVS) is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance Department and help keep our financial operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
As a Junior Accountant at UVS, you’ll play a vital role in:
- Analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts
- Preparing financial reports and managing financial spreadsheets
- Creating journal entries and allocating departmental costs
- Reconciling daily cash receipts, payroll taxes, and balance sheet accounts
- Assisting with month-end close and corporate tax payments
- Tracking departmental KPIs, RPI, and doctor utilization metrics
- Supporting financial training for new staff
- Continuously improving internal processes and learning new skill
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in an accounting role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and a strong sense of professionalism
