Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electronic equipment, ensuring functionality and safety standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to perform tests and measurements on electronic components.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Provide field service support, traveling to client locations as needed to resolve technical issues.
- Document repairs, maintenance activities, and service reports accurately for record-keeping purposes.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve processes and develop solutions for complex problems.
Skills
- Proficiency in low voltage electronics systems and components.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand mechanical systems related to electronic devices.
- Experience using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools effectively.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Previous experience in field service or as a service technician is highly desirable.
- Competence in equipment repair with a focus on quality workmanship.
