Job Description:
We are actively seeking entry-level individuals to join our team as Oilfield Cable Shop Technicians. As a Shop Tech, you will play a crucial role in the inspection, spooling, and splicing of oilfield cables used to power electro submersible pumps (ESPs). This position is based entirely in a shop setting, with no field work required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and perform inspections of oilfield cables to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Receive training in spooling and splicing activities on electro submersible pump (ESP) cables.
- Collaborate with experienced team members to prioritize and complete cable-related tasks efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of cable inspections, spooling, and splicing activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Work closely with supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve cable-related issues.
- Contribute to the organization and maintenance of the shop facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No previous experience required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Eagerness to learn and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage long work hours (80-100 hours per week).
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
