Pay Rate: $22.43 / hour ( shift differential if applicable)
2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm ($1.00 shift diff.)
3rd shift: 11pm - 7am ($1.50 shift diff.)
All contractors will need to train on the 1st shift before moving to 2nd or 3rd shift
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to transport materials around the warehouse
- Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
Qualifications
- Valid certification to operate a forklift
- Prior experience in operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the forklift
- Experience with order picking, crane operation, and materials handling is a plus
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $19.48 - $22.43 per hour
