What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier and Customer Service position at Uptown Grocery Co.?
We are seeking cashiers to join our team of motivated and experienced workers. The ideal candidate for this position is a fast learner, has excellent attention to detail and is capable of utilizing company policies to resolve customer issues. We are looking for a candidate with a strong customer service background and an enthusiasm for retail. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Answer customers' questions and direct them to the appropriate employee.
- Complete a wide variety of tasks, such as checking for inventory and calculating costs.
- Be courteous, friendly and helpful.
- Answer phones, build rapport with customers and solve problems.
- Have knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Work at a cash register or computer terminal; work with rows of product.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
