Position Summary
UBH seeks a bright and highly-motivated individual with excellent critical thinking ability to join our growing Development Department. The Development & Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for seeking opportunities to generate new partnerships with corporations, stewarding ongoing relationships, and maintaining clear and consistent communications with the corporate sector. This position will also be responsible for executing UBH fundraising events. This role is centered on crafting compelling storytelling that resonates across digital and corporate platforms. The successful candidate will cultivate and steward corporate relationships, develop strategic engagement opportunities, and create content that amplifies Upward Bound Houses mission.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
1) Corporate Partnership Development :
- Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate partnerships to support UBHs programs and initiatives.
- Develop tailored sponsorship proposals and presentations that align with corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals of potential partners.
- Conduct prospect research related to corporate relations goals and objectives; arrange and participate in cultivation visits and strategic conversations with current and prospective corporate partners.
- Develop opportunities for other types of corporate partnerships, including cause-marketing and customer point-of-sale donations.
- Leverage corporate relationships to provide value-added services, such as increased media exposure or product donations that support UBH programs.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Bachelors degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, or business management.
2. Minimum of five years related experience with demonstrated success in generating revenue, preferably through corporate relationships.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to network, build external relationships, and cultivate corporate partnerships.
4. Proficiency in Customer Relations Management (CRM) software and fundraising database applications (e.g., Salesforce, Boomerang) desirable as well as competence in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint).
5. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey the mission and goals of UBH.
6. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
7. Ability to research and analyze corporations for propensity to collaborate with UBH.
8. Creative, hard-working, self-motivated team player who is passionate about UBHs mission and programs.
9. Results-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset, actively seeks to deepen donor and volunteer relationships and forge new ones.
