Job Overview
Uranium Energy Corp is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a research or industrial laboratory setting and possess a strong foundation in laboratory procedures. This role is crucial for supporting scientific research, conducting quality control, and ensuring the accuracy of laboratory results.
Responsibilities
- Analyze production samples from our ISR mining operation for uranium using UV-visible spectrophotometric methods in strict accordance with TCEQ Requirements. .
- Analyze monitoring well samples for a variety of inorganic parameters using flow injection analyses with a spectrophotometric endpoint as well as wet chemistry methods in accordance with EPA and TECQ requirements.
- Prepare all samples for analysis and document findings accurately in laboratory reports in accordance with TCEQ and EPA requirements.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in quality control processes to ensure the integrity of laboratory results.
- Collaborate and maintain all analytical instrumentation and support ongoing projects.
- Keep accurate log books detailing all sample receipts in accordance with company and TCEQ requirements.
- Provide backup monitoring well sampling as directed. Maintain all GPI policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Preferred high school diploma, College or University degree or laboratory experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment, 1 to 3 years.
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Proficiency in math skills for data analysis and calculations.
- Familiarity with quality control processes in a laboratory setting.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with colleagues.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
